REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

40-FOOT and 60-foot HEAVY DUTy electric trolley Buses
King County Metro requests proposals for RFP ETB 12-1 for the manufacture and delivery of both 40ft and 60ft heavy-duty electric trolley buses that can operate on Metro’s existing overhead wire grid. Metro is seeking a minimum base quantity of 86 40ft electric trolley buses and 55 60ft electric trolley buses. This RFP includes option quantities for King County Metro and other transit agencies to purchase additional buses over a five year contract term.


King County will award a contract, if at all, through the competitive negotiation process set out in the RFP. This project is funded in part by the Federal Transit Administration. Proposers will be required to comply with all regulations applicable to FTA-funded transit bus procurements, as well as applicable Washington state regulations and King County ordinances.
