Aier controlling shareholder preparing for flagship hospitals in Greater Bay Area and Central China region
According to Aier announcement, the controlling shareholder reduced its holdings of 40.27 million shares, which accounts for 1% of the company's total equity, by block trade in two consecutive days, After the reduction, Aier Investment is still the controlling shareholder.
According to sources, the company's controlling shareholders and founders have always fully supported the development of the listco, focusing on core medical businesses, and continuously improving its market competitiveness. The company will upgrade Shenzhen and Wuhan hospitals into flagship hospitals of Greater Bay Area and Central China region, and build them into national level eye centers.
The fund obtained from the trade will be mainly used to purchase real estates in Shenzhen and Wuhan, which will be used by the hospitals for long-term lease in the future, so as to greatly improve the hospital's treatment capacity and level, and let the hospital focus on long-term stable development.
According to sources, the transferee of this block transaction is a world-famous asset management company. According to senior analysts in the industry, the foreign investors’ large-scale purchase against the background that the market value of Aier repeatedly reaching new highs, indicates the huge potential of China's ophthalmology market, and highlights the leading position of Aier.
