Mainland equities rebounded strongly from yestoday’s slump. SH COMP advanced 2.93% to close at 2940.01. The trading volume decreased to 535 billion yuan, higher than the 30-day average. The SZ COMP climbed 4.24% to 10545.52 at the close. The trading volume increased to 435 billion yuan. The rally was pretty broad but media, transports and constructions companies led on the upside. Financial companies climbed slightly as other themes have attracted spotlight from investors, the free trad zone for instance. Xiamen Port Developpement Co. surged its 10% daily limit gain on talks of Fujian free trade zone. The market sentiment recovered quickly after the correction. But today’s relative small turnover indicated investors remained cautious on market outlook.
