A new PET/CT and molecular technology platform were introduced by United Imaging at the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) 2023 annual meeting. The uMI Panorama is a family of products that also includes a 510k pending system with a 148 cm axial FOV, the uMI Panorama GS. Built on the uExcel platform, this ultra-long axial FOV system allows for fast and high-resolution whole-body PET/CT imaging in a single bed position.

United Imaging is also showcasing a Molecular Imaging technology platform along with the uMI Panorama, called uExcel. The platform integrates hardware and software innovations to optimize performance, imaging capabilities and system functionalities. Its ultra-digital platform

(UDP) detector boasts a high-performance ASIC chip, and its AI-empowered workflow streamlines operations and enhances examination efficiency. Exceptional image quality can be achieved with a lower dose, and the quality assurance module maintains peak performance of the system.

Cheri Gottke, Vice President of the Molecular Imaging portfolio for the US, added that the uMI Panorama is currently installed at Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and that "we chose SNMMI as the official stage to debut it."

Jeffrey Bundy, PhD, CEO of United Imaging Healthcare Solutions, says, "There has been a debate in the marketplace for a while about the relative importance of resolution, axial field of view (FOV), and time of flight (TOF). With the new wide-bore uMI Panorama and its 2.9 mm NEMA resolution, 35 cm axial FOV and 194 ps timing resolution, we will gladly have a conversation on any single specification or the collective benefit of all of them, because with this particular product, the need to compromise is gone."

The entire uMI portfolio is also "Born with AI" from the ground up, rather than being retrofitted with it later. This allows a seamless integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across all products, which optimizes daily workflow, improves the patient experience, and creates stunning diagnostic images.

United Imaging's artificial intelligence (uAI) streamlines routine clinical workflows by auto iso-centering patients and defining the scan range. Its systems also allow faster scanning with less dose, while improving PET and CT imaging quality and providing image consistency in all clinical settings, from academic to freestanding imaging centers.

6月24-27日,SNMMI 2023(2023年美国核医学与分子影像学会年会)在美国芝加哥举办,西门子医疗展出了其最新PET/CT产品——Biograph Vision.X。

此前,西门子医疗的Biograph Vision PET/CT于2018年先后在美国和欧洲推出,仅一年多时间全球装机量就达150台。2020年7月,这款产品在国内上市,命名为“追光者”。

本次展出的Biograph Vision.X,是Biograph Vision的升级版,其TOF(飞行时间)为178ps,相比Biograph Vision的214ps又有大幅提升。

Biograph Vision.X同样采用了西门子医疗独家的Optiso Ultra Dynamic Range (UDR)探测器技术。UDR探测器中的硅光电倍增管(SiPMs)能够搭载3.2mm×3.2mm氧化硅酸镥(LSO)晶体元素。西门子医疗表示,这些LSO小晶体完全被SiPMs覆盖,比大晶体产生的空间分辨率更高。

Biograph Vision.X实现了48mm3的空间分辨率和178ps的时间分辨率,TOF提高20%,扫描更快、注射药量更低、灵敏度更高、成像能力更好,从而降低患者承受的辐射剂量和放射性示踪剂的成本。

此外,Biograph Vision.X搭载了西门子医疗的AIDAN AI平台,旨在提高运营效率并加快患者工作流程。它的孔径与Biograph Vision一样,都是78厘米,放得下Biograph Vision的房间均可以安装Biograph Vision.X。

Biograph Vision.X目前正在等待FDA批准,尚未上市。

6月23-26日召开的2023年美国超声心动图学会(ASE)大会上,飞利浦展示了其新型5500CV便携式超声系统。

新一代便携式紧凑型超声具有与车载式系统同样优异的图像质量及超声心动图工作流程,可以在床旁随时随地获取图像和信息,旨在满足包括普通成像、心脏病学、妇产科和护理等多种专业需求。

5500CV的用户界面和工作流程与飞利浦车载式超声系统EPIQ CVx和Affiniti CVx兼容,后两者已在全球心脏领域广泛使用。5500CV还与EPIQ CVx和Affiniti CVx的超声系统传感器兼容。

5500CV搭载有基于人工智能的自动化工具,支持飞利浦实时远程医疗软件及超声协作直播。它还配有一个电池附加组件作为可选项,扫描时间可达2.5小时。

在ASE2023上,飞利浦展示了5500CV的多项功能,比如AutoStrain,可为左心室(LV)提供快速、可重复的2D应变定量。AutoStrain LV使用Automatic View Recognition技术来识别心脏的不同视图,进行左心室功能可视化分析,快速有效地为有心血管疾病风险的患者提供重要诊断信息。

同样是在SNMMI 2023上,GE医疗展出了其最新高端产品——Signa PET/MR Air。

GE的Signa PET/MR于2014年获批FDA,2016年4月在中国正式推出。

本次展出的Signa PET/MR Air是Signa PET/MR Air的高级配置,尚未获CE认证,目前只在部分国家/地区有售。

Signa PET/MR Air搭载了GE医疗的AIR技术:

Air线圈:改善患者舒适度;

AIR Recon DL:基于深度学习的MR图像重建,可加快扫描速度,节省50%的时间;

AIR x:用于提高MRI的一致性和准确性,由成千上万张图像数据库创建的深度学习算法提供支持;

AIR Touch:智能化工作流程解决方案,可根据感兴趣区域精确体积自动为每位患者匹配最佳MRI线圈元件组合。

此外,Signa PET/MR Air还搭载了MortionFree Brain软件,可避免因患者头部活动而降低PET脑部扫描质量,且无需外部跟踪设备,从而提高微小病灶的检出准确性,减少重复扫描,可与所有Signa PET/MR功能(如Q.Clear和 ZTE MRAC)兼容。

Signa PET/MR Air具有灵敏的TOF PET探测器,可用于早期诊断和跟踪疾病进展,帮助医生提供早期诊断,评估疾病进展,比如:

有助于发现阿尔茨海默病患者的不良反应;

与前列腺特异性膜抗原(PSMA)靶向放射示踪剂结合,更精确地诊断、分期或再分期前列腺癌,确定患者是否适合PSMA靶向放射配体治疗。

联影医疗在SNMMI2023上也展出了最新PET/CT——uMI Panorama,具有2.9mm NEMA分辨率、35cm的轴向视野(FOV)和194皮秒的时间分辨率,目前已安装于美国盐湖城的Huntsman 癌症中心,本次SNMMI2023是uMI Panorama在行业内的首次公开亮相。

同时展出的还有uMI Panorama GS,它与uMI Panorama同属一个系列,具有148cm的超长轴向视野,可在一个床位上实现高分辨率的全身PET/CT成像。目前在等待FDA批准。

两款产品都搭载了uExel分子成像平台,该平台集成了硬件和软件创新,配有高性能ASIC芯片和人工智能工作流程,用于实现产品性能、成像能力和系统功能的优化。
