SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) _ Sunesis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SNSS) on Thursday reported a loss of $1.3 million in its fourth quarter. On a per-share basis, the South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 2 cents.
The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $896,000 in the period, missing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.8 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $43 million, or 76 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $5.7 million.
The company's shares closed at $2.18. A year ago, they were trading at $7.20.
