$中国飞机租赁(01848)$ CALC to deliver jets to AirAsia and Hawaiian in 2017
China Aircraft Leasing (CALC) is claiming major steps forward with its international development strategy, with deliveries of aircraft to Vanilla Air, AirAsia and Hawaiian Airlines planned in 2017.

“Next year we are delivering aircraft to ANA through Vanilla Air, their subsidiary; we are delivering aircraft to AirAsia and we are delivering aircraft to Hawaiian,” CALC’s managing director finance Christian McCormick said during a presentation at the recent Growth Frontiers event in Hong Kong.

“It’s the first time that a Chinese lessor such as CALC is able to deliver aircraft into the US market. We’re very proud of that.”

While he did not disclose any more details about the deals signed, they are part of a growing strategy by the Chinese lessor to target more international customers.
