$中国飞机租赁(01848)$ CALC targets March for first aircraft teardown at Harbin
China Aircraft Leasing’s aircraft disassembly plant in Harbin is set to start work on its first aircraft teardown in March 2017.

CALC’s managing director finance, Christian McCormick, told delegates at the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers event in Hong Kong that the Aircraft Recycling International (ARI) facility at Harbin is expected to be completed by either January or February 2017, with disassembly work to start soon afterwards.

“It will be the largest in the world, it will be capable of disassembling 50 aircraft per year,” he adds.

Initially however, its goal will be to tear down 20 aircraft in its first year.
