MINNEAPOLIS, April 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Skyline Medical Inc. (NASDAQ:SKLN) ("Skyline" or "the Company") today announced that it will be a co-exhibitor at the 2016 annual meeting of the Association of Veterans Affairs Surgeons (AVAS) in Virginia Beach, VA on April 10th - 12th, 2016. Representatives from both Skyline and its Federal channel distributor, MUNRO Enterprises LLC will demonstrate the Company's STREAMWAY System, to surgeons and other industry decision makers at the event.

The AVAS annual meeting is attended by general, oncologic, peripheral vascular, endovascular, thoracic, cardiac, wound care, and critical care surgeons as well as anesthesia providers from VA hospitals throughout the United States.  Many university-based surgeons, surgery residents, and medical students from programs with VA affiliations typically attend this meeting.
