0258 GMT - Tesla and XPeng are likely to be the first among peers to monetize the advanced self-driving technology and boost their earnings, Daiwa analysts write in a note. XPeng is outsourcing its research and development services while Tesla charges a subscription for the full self-driving technology. Tesla released the upgraded full self-driving technology earlier this year, which offers a human-like driving performance and is a big leap from its previous versions. Daiwa estimates the current cost of L2 level of advanced driver assistance system in the range CNY25,000-CNY40,000, which is mainly installed in premium cars.
