$PBF能源(PBF)$ The chief executive of refiner PBF Energy says a Federal government program that forces refiners to either use a larger mix of renewable biofuels when they make fuel, or buy credits from those that do, is "broken" and is adding more pain at the gasoline pump for consumers. The EPA has been looking at the Renewable Fuel Standard program and reportedly may lower the volume obligations, but CEO Tom Nimbley says in PBF's 3Q earnings report the EPA keeps "waffling" with "never-ending" delays. "These delays are causing economic harm to independent refiners, jeopardizing jobs, creating uncertainty in the market and are penalizing consumers at the pump by supporting high gasoline prices."
