三菱重工 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries)(7011.JP) 的業務廣泛，筆者為方便分析，將根隨其年報把業務分為 4 大主要類別：
(1) 能源系統 (Energy Systems)
(a) 火力發電 (Gas & steam power systems) ，當中包括燃氣輪機聯合迴圈 (Gas Turbine Combined Cycle GTCC) 等。
(b) 核能系統 (Nuclear power systems)，當中包括輕水反應堆 (Light water reactors) 、核設施除役 (Decommissioning) 、 核燃料循環 (Fuel cycle)、 新式反應堆 (Future reactors) 等。
(c) 還有壓縮機 (Compressors) 、航空發動機 (Aero Engines) 、船舶機械(Marine machinery)、再生能源 (Renewable energy power) 如風力發電等。
(2) 基建系統 (Plants & Infrastructure Systems)
(a) 工程 (Engineering) ，當中包括運輸糸統 (Transportation systems)、化學工廠 (Chemical plants) 等。
(b) 金屬機械 (Metals Machinery) ，當中包括鋼鐵工廠 (Ironmaking and Steelmaking plants)、 連鑄工廠 (Continuous casting plants)、 軋鋼廠(Rolling mills)、 退火和鍍鋅生產線 (Strip-processing and finishing lines) 等。
( c ) 機械系統 (Machinery Systems) ，當中包括食品包裝機械 (Food & packaging machinery)、 鋼結構工廠 (Steel structure plants)、 印刷及包裝機械 (Printing & packaging machinery) 等。
(d) 商業船舶 (Commercial ships)，當中包括客輪 (Passenger ferries)、 商船 (General commercial ships)、 特殊用途船舶 (Special purpose ships) 、造船工程 (Shipbuilding engineering) 等。
( e ) 環境設備 (Environmental systems)，當中包括空氣品質控制系統 (Air quality control systems AQCS) 、 廢棄物能源系統 (Waste-to-Energy systems)、 污泥處理 (Sludge treatment systems)、 碳捕存系統 (CO2 capture systems and plants) 等。
(3) 物流及冷熱系統 (Logistics, Thermal & Drive Systems)
(a) 物料機器 (Material Handling Systems)，當中包括鏟車 (Forklifts)、 船塢貨物處理機械 (Dockyard cargo handling machinery) 、物流系統及周邊 (Logistics systems and peripherals) 等。
(b) 發動機及渦輪增壓器 (Engines and Turbochargers)，當中包括工業機械發動機 (Industrial machinery engines) 、發電機組 (Power-generation sets)、 熱電聯產系統 (Cogeneration systems) 、渦輪增壓器 (Turbochargers) 等。
( c ) 空氣調節系統 (HVAC Systems)，當中包括家用及商用空調機 (Household and commercial air conditioners) 、 渦輪製冷機 (Turbo chillers)、 交通製冷機 (Transport chillers) 、電動及皮帶驅動壓縮機(Electric-driven and belt compressors) 等。
(d) 汽車空調機 (Automotive air conditioners)
(4) 航太及防衛 (Aircraft, Defense & Space)
(a) 太空機器 (Space Systems)，當中包括發射服務 (MHI Launch Services) 、火箭發動機 (Rocket Engines) 等。
(b) 國防 (Defense) ，當中包括防衛飛機 (Defense aircraft)、 導彈系統 (Missile systems) 如愛國者防空系統 (PATRIOT) 、艦艇 (Naval ships) 如潛艇 (Submarines) 、特殊車輛 (坦克) (Special vehicles (tanks))、海事機械 (魚雷) (Maritime systems (torpedoes)) 等。
( c ) 商業航空 (Commercial Aviation)，當中包括商業客機 (Aerostructure Tier 1 business, Aftermarket business) 如 Boeing 787 / 777 / 767 / 747 等。
