$Discover Financial(DFS)$  Discover Financial Services says it is starting to see consumers spend less on categories such as consumer durables and travel as inflation persists. Executives say during an earnings call that travel spend is softening from its booming growth this summer when people prioritized their money on experiences and vacations that were put on pause during the pandemic. Consumer durables are also softening from a year ago. Still, Discover says their customers can largely absorb inflation.
